There are many different types of Italian restaurants and dining experiences. There is the Osteria, which respond to simple regional products the region. These are usually open for dinner but sometimes open for lunch. Then there is the farmhouse. These are working farms that serve meals to guests. Their creation was a sign of green and gold with a fork and knife. The Birreria is a bar that serves beer in the northern and central Italy. Caffe Bar serves alcohol or patrons, coffee and sodas. The kitchen is usually Paninis, sputini, tramezzini, and brioche. The producers Frasca Wine of Friuli serving customers at night, and sometimes food too. The Paninoteca is a sandwich shop by day. The Pizzeria is a pizzeria that makes pizza wood fired ovens who come from Italy. Ristorante are restaurants that serve Italian cuisine with fancy menus. A Spaghetteria serves mainly pasta dishes Italian. There is also the Tavola Calda, which serves regional dishes that are pre made. Last but not least is the Trattoria. It is a family owned and operated Italian restaurant. It is usually very affordable.

Italy is the largest producer of wine in the world. These wines are made to complete their Italian cuisine. Cooking holiday in Italy is different from America. On Christmas Eve, they have a meal without meat, and serve Tortellini Christmas Day. On Easter Day, the Italians serve lamb.

In New York there are many Italian restaurants to enjoy. But for an Italian dining experience genuine, you should try to Monte Trattoria. Monte is located in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York. It's on MacDougal Street between West 3rd St. and Bleeker. Monte was around since 1918. They serve authentic Italian cuisine.
